Mission

To offer individuals and families in need the chance to obtain the proper attire and/or any item they might need in order to successfully live, work and prosper. PWR Secret Closet will work in concert with other non-profits to successfully achieve this goal.

How the Program Works

Clothing and goods will be donated to the PWR Secret Closet from our membership. The PWR Secret Closet in turn donates these items to the Assistance League to be sold in The Castaways Thrift Shop. The assistace League will in turn donate back to any recipient referred by our Program through their own porogram, Operation Helping Hand. We basically are hoping to donate enough goods each month to help cover any dollar amount given in kind by their Operation Helping Hand.

Individuals who will be the recipients of our PWR Secret Closet Fund will be by referral only thre S.A.F.E. or any PWR Member in good standing. The proper paperwork must be completed from the referral source in order for the recipient to go to the Thrift Shop and shop. The amount of money to be awarded to the recipient will be determined by the referring source based on the needs and the number of people needing help, for example a single person who only needs clothing, $30 would be sufficient, a family of 2 may need $60 or a family of four or more might need $120. The PWR Secret Closet Recipients will be allowed to "shop" at the Castaways in increments of $30, $60, $90 or $120.
